Obit for Morris "Gene" Sloan

Services for Morris "Gene" Sloan, 69, will be held at noon Friday, April 
21, in the Restalnd Memorial Chapel, Dallas, with Bro. Houston Garner 
officiating.

Mr. Sloan was born December 14, 1930, the son of Oliver Morris and Eurabel 
Sloan.  He died April 17, 2000.

He was a charter member of Faithway Baptist Church in Irving, Texas.  Mr. 
Sloan owned Sloan Air Conditioning and Heat, Inc. and Scarlett Oaks Ranch in 
Marietta, in addition to being an ordained minister.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Faye Sloan; son and daughter-in-law, 
Morris and Jana Sloan; son, Wayne Sloan; five grandchildren, Courtney, 
Michael, Justin, Kennedi and Kyle Sloan; sister, Sherlene Romano; and four 
brothers, Naamon, Don, Bill and Larry Sloan.

Mr. Sloan was preceded in death by his mother, Eurabel Sloan; twin brother, 
Ledene; brother, David Sloan; and father, Oliver Morris Sloan.

Interment will be in the Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, under the 
direction of Restland Funeral Home.
