She has lived in Bakersfield for 50 years. She was baptized as one of Jehovahs Wienesses on April 12, 1969. She fell asleep September 7, 2002, and is now looking forward to waking up in Paradise. Fleeda is survived by her loving husband and friend, Ben E. Pitts; siblings, Jo Stephenson, Jean Stimac, James Washington, Noble Washington; four children and two extra: daughters, Quitha Ramil and husband, Danny, Linda Ford and husband, Modie, Sr.; sons, Ronnie Westmoreland and wife, Debbie, Leonard Westmoreland, Jr.; her sister, Jo Stephenson and brother-in-law, Bobby Westmoreland; 11 grandchildren, Lorie Marshall, Nick Cook, Modie Ford, Jr., Melinda Ramon, Lorinda Anderson, Michael Ford, Sherry Mejia, Kimberley Navarro, Craig and Jennifer Westmoreland, Rosanna Westmoreland, Sylvia Edmondson; 19 great-grandchildren, Brittney, Mia, Amy, Dianna, Emily, Nicholas, Ricky, Micah, Keisha, Tanner, Terra, Scarlet, Brittany, Samuel, Roman, Nikko, Zane, Lisa and Steven; 3 great-great- grandchildren, Michaela, Kailey, and Elijah. Her greatest love was Jehovah, and the preaching of His Word and His Kingdom. She was a good wife and wonderful mother. She loved her children and grandchildren so much, she always had time for them. She also loved to cook and have people over to eat, her specialty was peach cobbler. I know a lot of people will miss that. She enjoyed shopping for clothes and shoes, she loved music, dancing and reading. She just loved life and everyone she met loved her. She will be missed so much. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, September 14, 2:00 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witness, 8501 Wible Rd. (A-HALL), Bakersfield, CA 93313.
