All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Burwood Cemetery--Escalon CA Powell, Jean (Reed) JEAN (REED) POWELL JULY 11, 1937 - NOV. 25, 2006 Jean (Reed) Powell, 69, passed away on Nov. 25, 2006 at Memorial Medical Center, Modesto. She was born on July 11, 1937 in Burneyville, OK. She had been a resident of Escalon for 48 years. She helped manage the family farming business as well as building the family trucking business for 47 years. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren; she especially loved family get-togethers. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, quilting, scrapbooking and she loved watching the changing colors in Fall. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Aburey Powell; her mother, Velma Reed; her sons, Keith Powell and his wife Denise of Escalon and Randy Powell, also of Escalon; daugthers, Rebecca Powell of Escalon and Sandy Bomer and her husband, Robert of Oakdale; her grandchildren: Karen Powell of Escalon, Vince Powell of Oakdale, Everett Powell of Oakdale, Kadee Green of Escalon, Stefanie Powell of Escalon and Garrett Machado of Oakdale; her sisters, Reba Hartman and Sylvia Clifton, both of OK; and brother, Darrell Reed, also of OK. She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Reed in 1987. Service will be held Thurs., Nov. 30, 2006 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church, 1510 E. Catherine, Escalon.
