Bell Services for Ray W. Bell, 80, of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, were held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 9, at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Ft. Smith. Mr. Bell was born August 10, 1921, in Marietta, and died Saturday, July 6, 2002, in a Ft. Smith hospital. He lived in Marietta for several years as a child before his family moved to Ft. Smith. Mr. Bell was a charter member of Spradling Baptist Church, Ft. Smith, was an avid outdoors-man, and was self-employed as an auto parts dealer. Survivors include two sons, Rodney Bell of Derby, Kansas, and Don Bell of Ft. Smith; a sister, Gracie Bussey of Tuscon, Arizona; and five grandchildren, Aaron Bell, Jessica Bell, Joel Bell, Justin Bell and Jarrett Bell. Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Bell. Pallbearers were Ben Munn, Olen Price, Downey Wolfe, Bernard Martin, Jim Simpkins, Don Tadlock and Fay Hobbs. Services were under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel, Ft. Smith.
