Ken McCarthick officiating. Mrs. Smith was born October 9, 1923, at Wayne, the daughter of Luther I. "Buddy" and Mary A. Burton. She died Sunday, August 20, 2000, in a local hospital. She had lived in the Ardmore area most of her life and was a member of Mannsville First Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Paul Bucher of Marietta; two daughters, Ziral Doughty of Ardmore and Juanell Garrett of Madill; one brother, Rainford Burton of Burneyville; two sisters, Kathleen Caldwell and Kathryn Caldwell, both of Marietta; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul H. Bucher in 1991; her second husband, William H. Smith in 1985; one brother, Don Burton; one sister, Queta Burton; and one grandson, Donald (Iran) Bucher. Pallbearers were Bill Barfield, Jimmy Conway, George Hicks, George Lowe, Larry Murray and Dewayne Riley.
