All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Harrah Cemetery--Harrah OK Mrs. Whitford Dies of Stroke Mrs. Margaret Whitford, 79-year-old Oklahoma county pioneer of 1150 NW 47, died Monday morning in St. Anthony hospital. She had suffered a stroke Thursday. Funeral services for Mrs. Whitford will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Choctaw Seventh Day Adventist church. Burial will be in the Harrah cemetery under direction of Street & Draper funeral home. A native of Kentucky, Mrs. Whitford came to Oklahoma in 1895, first living in Thackerville. The family later homesteaded a farm on Kickapoo land between Jones and Harrah. Her husband, Thomas H. Farmer, a farmer, died in 1929. Survivors include three sons, Thomas N., of Avenel, Calif.; Lee, of Alice, Texas, and Charles, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Ann Harker, of Pennsylvania and Mrs. Helen Cassidy, living in Washington; two brothers, Ben Foster, of Wewoka, and Ingram Foster, of California; 15 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Love County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/love/love.htm
