Born February 6, 1922, at Thackerville, the son of Roy W. and Rachel Brown Reynolds, Mr. Reynolds died April 9, 1999, at his residence. He was a retired Master Sergeant with the U.S. Army, a member of the Local Union #429, a Past President of the National Chilocco Indian Agricultural School Alumni and a 34-year member of A.A. Mr. Reynolds was also a member of the Thackerville Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Hammer of Gainesville; three sons, Walter Ray Reynolds, Thomas Dean Reynolds and Phil Reynolds, all of California; three daughters, Carrol Lopez of Denton, Texas, Mary Jane Reynolds of California and Susan Brown of Hawaii; two sisters, Zona Thurman and Willie C. Ohlson of Gainsville; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Marvin Leon Reynolds; two sisters, Juanita Reynolds and Oleta McAfee; and a brother, James Reynolds. Interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Thackerville, was directed by Clement-Keel Funeral Home, Gainesville. Memorial contributions may be made to Home Hospice of Cooke County, P.O. Box 936, Gainesville, TX.
