The local justice of the peace officiated the ceremony in the presence of the bride's mother, Linda Kirby, her cousin, Carla Kennedy, and the groom's parents, Don and Ann Furh. The bride is hte daughter of David and Linda Kirby of Greenville and the late Jay Johnson. She is a 1991 graduate of Marietta High School and attended the University of Oklahoma earning a master's degree in fine arts. She is currently employed by Thompson and Thompson Corporation in Quincy, Massachusetts. Parents of the groom are Don and Ann Furh of South Carolina.
