Winters E.A. Winters BOOKER - E.A. Winters, 100, died Friday, April 19, 2002 in Shattuck, Okla. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Booker Friends Church with the Rev. David "Butch" Hearon officiating. Burial will be in Heart Cemetery by Good Samaritan Funeral Service. Mr. Winters was born May 6, 1901, in Cleo Springs, Okla., to Andrew Jackson "Jack" and Mary Kathren (Foster) Winters. He was engaged in farming and ranching. Survivors include his wife, Evaree, of Oklahoma City; two sons, Mellie Winters of Wichita, Kan., and Verl Winters of Boley, Okla.; two daughters, DeLoris Field of Dundee, Ore., and Mary Custer of Booker; three stepchildren; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Booker Friends Church; or to Twin Oaks Manor. Amarillo Globe-News, April 21, 2002
