Graveside services were at 3 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega with the Rev. Robert Field officiating. Arrangements were by N.S. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Weidner was born and raised in Ames, Okla. He moved to Adrian as a young man. He married Mozelle Allison in 1938. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 899 in Vega and of the Masonic Lodge in Canyon No. 730. He was the past grand master of both lodges. He was self employed. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1998. Survivors include two daughters, Lanie Sewell of Midland and Madeline Brock of Apple Springs; a son, Carroll Weidner of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Lezlie Frazier, Bobby Sewell, Cynthia Markey, Christy Mason, Michele Mason and Melody Weidner; four great-grandsons, Clint Frazier, Cody Frazier, Justin Sewell and Zayne Sloss; and a great-great-grandson, Cody Frazier. The family suggests memorials be to Masonic Lodge No. 899, P.O. Box 490, Vega, TX 79092. Amarillo Globe-News, March 15, 2002
