The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Source: The Madill Record 1/14/1960 ---------------------------------------------------------------- ATTEBERY RITES HELD IN KINGSTON 1/14/1960 Sevices were held at 10 a.m. last Thursday in the Kingston Methodist church for Mrs. Susie Jane Atteberry,89, who died January 5 in Madill. Born February 9, 1870 in Titus County, Texas, she was married to Rufus Jo Atteberry and moved to Marshall County in 1904. In 1930 they moved to Kingston where they spent the remainder of their lives. Her husband preceded her in death in June, 1951. She was a member of the Methodist church since her youth. Survivors include: three sons, J.N. Atteberry, Francis and Guy Atteberry and Dalton Atteberry, Oklahoma City; four daughters, Mrs. Ella Robert, of Denison, Tex., Mrs. Amanda Simmons, Oklahoma City, and Miss Della Atteberry, Kingston; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Effie Stevens, Lone Oak, Tex., 16 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren. Officiating at the service was the Rev. Bill Browers, assisted by the Rev. Edwin Walker. Burial was under the direction of Watts Funeral Home and held in Kingston. Pallbearers included grandsons of Mrs. Atteberry: Louis, Paul and John Atteberry, Oklahoma City; Glen Atteberry, Francis and Cecil Robertson, Denison..
