ADAMS DIES, FUNERAL RITES ARE HELD HERE SUNDAY 6/5/1952 Memorial services for Walter Ray Adams were held Sunday, June 1, at 2:30 p.m., in Watts Memorial Chapel. Rev. L.E. Green was in charge. Burial was in the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery. Mr. Adams was born February 28, 1893 in Tecumseh. He passed away May 30, 1952 in Oklahoma City. He had lived in Marshall county all his life, being engaged in farming and butchering. Mr. Adams had been in poor health several months prior to his death. Survivors include: Mrs. Ola Adams, his wife; Mrs. Ruby Gary, El Reno, his daughter; Lloyd Adams, and Robert Adams, Oklahoma City and Freeman Adams, Madill, his sons. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Lela Doty Wilson; four brothers, B.E. Adams, Calvin and Ezra Adams, Colorado. Pallbearers for the services were: C.B. Allen, John Reid, Lonnie Fielson, Alex Chastain, Bill Loftis and John Bumpass (Note: I have no further information on this person) .
