A.M.(Uncle Cooney) Carroll, a highly respected citizen and resident 
of the Powell community for the past 40 years died suddenly at the 
home of his son in law, M.L. Skinner in Pecan Gap, TX last Saturday.
Mr. Carroll had been in bad health for some time and was visiting 
in Texas for rest and recuperation. The remains were brought here 
and taken to Powell cemstery and laid to rest. He leaves a host
of friends and relatives to mourn his taking away.
