French, daughter of Marshall County pioneer Dorsey Buckner Taliaferro, was born Nov. 17,1916 in Bonham, Texas. She was married to Alllen Webb French May 29, 1936. They made their home in Madill where they raised their family. French was instrumental in starting the Camp Fire program in Madill and later she served on the BancFirst board. French was preceded in death by her husband March 25, 1981 and a daughter, Allen Kay, Feb. 14, 1946. Survivors include three children, Dr. George French of Kingston, Freda French Godsoe of Taos, N.M., and Kathryn Gallager of Tulsa. Also, six grandchildren, a sister, LoRene Reirdon of Sherman, Texas and several nieces and nephews. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill. Larry Holder, pastor of Madill United Methodist Church officiated. Music was arranged by Judy Bounds Coleman. Casket bearers were Joe and Dorsey Reirdon, John Herd, Mickey Pruitt, Herschel Beard, Martin Dotson, Norm Taliaferro, Richard Washburn and Gary Fuller. The family has requested memorials be made to Madill Hospital Hospice, P.O. Box 827, Madill, Ok73446; First United Methodist Church, P.O.
