Files may be printed or copied for personal use only. ---------------------------------------------------- Source: THE MADILL RECORD - October 22, 1949 ---------------------------------------------------------------- Lee Goff Surname: Goff The Madill Record - October 22, 1949 One of Marshall County's best known citizens, Leonadus (Lee) Goff died at this home in Lebanon, October 19 at 7:30 P.M. A heart attack was the cause of death. Mr. Goff had lived in Marshall County since 1908 and was a farmer. Services were held at Watts Memorial Chapel, Friday, Oct. 21. John W. Pigg, officiated and he was assisted by George Henry of Kingston. Burial was at Woodville. Mr. Goff joined the Church of Christ in 1947. Leonadus Franklin Goff was born June 28, 1884, in Indian Territory. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Callie Goff; nine children, Cary M. Goff of Parlier, CA; Annie Laura Brown of Madill; Marcus E. Goff of Madill; Juanita Monroe, of Lark; Paul Goff of Madill; Merele Goff of Pittsburg, CA; Betty Lou Hefley of Davis; Jack Goff, of Lebanon, and Virginia Lee Goff, of Lebanon. Other survivors include two brothers, Frank Goff of Lebanon; George Goff, of Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. W. O. (Alice) Ki te of Bromide; Mrs. Lidia Mae Townsley, of Tulsa; Mrs. Effie Dobson, of Ardmore. There also are 18 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Pallbearers at the memorial service were: Truman Cobb, Henry Pratt, Henry Rushing, Amos Chaney, Goldie Hewitt, and Jay Payne.
