Charles F. Howard, son of the late Samuel and Mrs Mary {Timberlake} Howard, was born in Henderson County [Tn.] 8 April 1851 and died at his home in Woodville, Oklahoma 29 November 1930. On 19 Dec. 1872 he was married to Miss Cornelia, daughter of Dr. Homer Brown of Mifflin Tennessee[then Henderson Co. now Chester Co.] and eight children, six sons and two daughters were born. The girls died in infancy, the boys survive, namly Sam, Fenner, Claude, John,Jim & Charlie. All of whom live in Woodville Okla. except for Fenner who lives here. Quite a good many years ago Mr Howard and his family moved to Woodville Okla. where some of his sons already lived. In our knowledge we know of Mr Howard, We know of his father who was a prominant citizen and official of this County, hiis brother Jimmie, his stepmother, [who was before her marriage Miss Bettie Hinkle] and his brother Dick, have died, leaving but one surviving sister, Mrs Bina Tarbet, who first married E.E.
