R. R. OWEN PASSES AT HOME Wife of Former Boy Scout Field Executive Dies Following Long Illness Mrs. Robert R. Owen, wife of a former field executive for the Chickasaw council Boy Scouts, died at her home, 1120 C street northwest Wednesday following a lengthy illness. The body is being held at Harvey Bros. funeral home pending funeral arrangements. Owen, who is now a salesman for King Motors, was a former Marshall county teacher. The Owens had made their home in Ardmore for several years. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Owens is survived by four children, Grant, Rogers, Buford and Opal Owen. --The Daily Ardmoreite, Ardmore, OK, Wednesday, 27 June 1934-- TRIBUTE PAID MRS. R. R. OWEN Dr. H. E. Dana, Pastor of First Baptist Church, Conducts Services. Brief funeral services at Harvey Bros. funeral home chapel here at 3 o'clock Thursday will be followed by graveside services at Willis in southern Marshall county for Mrs. R. R. Owen, who died at her home, 1120 C street northwest, Wednesday, following a lengthy illness. Dr. H. E. Dana, pastor of the First Baptist church, will officiate. Rev. George A. Dale, pastor of the First Baptist church at Madill, will conduct the services at Willis. Pallbearers will include Harry B. Wiles, H.L. Harbour, H.C.Spears, R.D.Raburn, C.L.Thomas and Harry A. Hamilton. Surviving are her husband, former field executive for the Chickasaw council of Boy Scouts; four children, Grant, Rogers, Buford and Opal Owen; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P.C.Cowen, Willis; and six brothers and two sisters. Owen, who is now a salesman for King Motors, was formerly a teacher in Marshall county.
