Files may be printed or copied for personal use only. ---------------------------------------------------- MADILL RECORD NOVEMBER 27, 1941 Ernest Lynn dies; Buried at Powell--Lived in County past 41 years Funeral services for George Ernest Lynn, Marshall County resident the past 41 years, were held at 2 P.M. Monday at the Lebanon Church of Christ. Mr. Lynn, born October 18, 1875, at Gainesville, Tex. died at his residence near Tyler Saturday, He had been critically ill the past two years. Reverend Miller was in charge of the funeral service and was assisted by John W. Pigg, Minister of the Madill Church of Christ. Interment was at the Powell Cemetery, with Watts Funeral Home of Madill in charge. Escorts of the body were, Nealy Barentine, Cliff Orr, Buck Askew, Ernest Rhodes, Albert Vinson, and Edd Long. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mattie Lynn, his children, Guyeva Lynn, and Patsy Ruth Lynn of the home address. Mrs. Marie Johnson of Madill, Mrs. Mabel Carter, Dallas; Mrs Oatie Beavers, Broken Bow; and T.B. Lynn, Lebanon; Seven grandchildren, and one Great-grandchild. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Mittie Evans, Beebe, Ark., Mrs. Minnie Wallace, Maysville, and one brother, Charles Lynn of Oakland.
