Woodrow Ables Killed in freak auto accident 

A former Madill man died last Friday in a freak accident in California.
Dead is 56 year-old Woodrow Ables, member of a Prominent early-day Madill
family. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John T. Ables. According to
information received here, Ables had been fishing with a cousin, Claude
Ables, and they had car trouble. Woodrow Ables used his car to pull the
other car and after it was started Woodrow Ables was between the two cars
unhooking a tow chain, one of the cars apparently fell into gear and he was
crushed. Funeral services were yesterday in Oakland, California, burial
Oakland, Calif. Burial was to be there. Survivors include his wife, the
former Mabelle Lynn.
