ADKINS) (FUNERAL HELD IN MADILL TUESDAY AFTERNOON) An automobile accident was fatal to Mrs Margaret Lynn Adkins of Oklahoma City, daughter of Mrs. Henry Lynn of Madill about 5:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The wreck occurred on the Tulsa Highway, about three miles north of Sapulpa, when Mrs. Adkins is said to have hold of the wheel to drive and lost control of the car, running into a telephone post. Mrs Adkins was thrown from the car. She was taken to the Sapulpa Hospital but had succumbed upon arrival. Other occupants of the car were Frank Alten, Bristow; Charles N. Wilson and Gene Murphy, both of Oklahoma City; Miss. Ula Rainwater, Bristow and Miss. Wilson of Kellyville. The three former were held until Officers investigated the wreck. Mrs. Adkins was the only one receiving serious injuries. The body was returned to Madill by the Watts Ambulance an prepared for burial by the Watts Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ, Madill, at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, with M.E. Ewing officiating. Mrs. Adkins had been a member of the Church of Christ for nine years. Pall bearers were Claude Lynn, Wylie Lynn, Clyde Lynn, Willie Lynn, Jess Gill and G.W. Hawkins. Special numbers were sung by Mrs. John Landram and Mrs. Edd Long. Had Mrs. Adkins lived until February 2, she would have been 23 years of age. She attended the Madill High School for three years, then leaving for Oklahoma City to take a business course. She made her home with her sister, Mrs. Erna Woody. At the time of her death she was making her home with her half brother, Doss Cummings and Mrs. Cummings. She had been employed by Swiss Cleaners of Oklahoma City, until about a month previous to her death. Surviving Mrs. Adkins are her husband Henry Adkins, Oklahoma City; her mother Mrs. Henry Lynn; six sisters, Mrs. Erna Woody, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Paul Reid, Madill; Mrs. Jess Gill, Madill; Misses. Mildred and Lois Lynn, Madill, and Mrs. Bruce Biggers, Madill, and three brothers. Doss Cummings, Jack Lynn and Johnny Lynn, all of Oklahoma City. All were present for the funeral with the exception of Mrs. Biggers. Others attending the funeral from out of town were Mrs. Doss Cummings, Mrs. Jack Lynn, Mr. Adkins, a brother of Henry Adkins, and Mrs. Adkins, Pal White, Mrs. Jess Bishop and two daughters, Millie and Retha; Mrs. Ulysses Graham, Charles Wilson and Gene Murphy, all of Oklahoma City.
