Files may be printed or copied for personal use only. ---------------------------------------------------- MADILL RECORD APRIL 4,1963 Minnie Wallace Memorial Rites are held Sunday Funeral services for Minnie Lee Wallace, 82, were conducted Sunday afternoon from the Watts Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Wallace, a native of Gainesville, Tex., died last Friday at an Ardmore Hospital where she had been ill 10 days. Born January 26, 1881, she moved from Gainesville to Garvin County, mostly in the Maysville area, 45 years before moving to Madill. Her husband the late Dr. John C. Wallace died several years ago. Mrs. Wallace was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Rev. J.F. Ellison of Denison officiated at the funeral with Rev. Virgil Schaffer assisting. Loyd Wren was in charge of the music with Mrs. George Needham as organist. Burial was in Madill-Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Watts. Mrs. Wallace is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jewell Williams of Lewisville, Texas, and Mrs. Vinita R. Ragsdale of Los Angles; three grandchildren, Mrs. Voneta Harper of San Antonio, Mrs. Mary Jo Carpenter of Denton, Tex. and Arden Druce of Los Angeles and six great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Estel Hallmark, J.B. Best Overton and Charles Wilson, Lynn Bourland and Sam Lynn.
