Lynn beneath a hill of flowers at Woodberry-Forrest Cemetery. That sad news was flashed on hundreds in Madill Friday morning who knew not that he was even ill. Others had learned that he was in the hospital the day before for the first time. Some had learned that he was not expected to live early Thursday night. The family had gone to Sherman. (PEARLIE LYNN IS DEAD!) Long before the arrival of the Northbound train Friday morning bearing the body bearing the body from Sherman, where young Lynn was taken Monday, and died Thursday night at 11 o'clock, the flags around the Square and down the Business Streets were dropped in the sunless sky to half mast. Hundreds, from all walks of life, friends of childhood, pals of young manhood, friends of the family for more than a generation gathered at the Station ere the train arrived. When the gray casket had been carried by Masonic pallbearers to the gray hearse, these hundreds formed the Cortege that wound it's way to the Lynn home on West Tishomingo Street, there the body remained until the hour of the Funeral service at 3 o'clock at the Church of Christ. Other hundreds came to this home and expressed their sadness to the bereaved family. (MASONS FORM ESCORT) The Masonic Lodge whose membership held fellowship with the deceased in the different higher Lodges and the Shrine, formed at the Hall at 2 o'clock and walked to the residence in a body. The escort followed the hearse to the Church where people were turned from the doors as the Pastor, Rev. Wilbur H. White, were conducted services. The body of Pearlie Lynn was consigned to the grave. Flowers from friends, from the American Legion the Masonic Order, the Shrine Club covered the fresh mound of earth in a veritable hill of white, Evergreen, and variegated hues.
