Lynn, 44, died about daybreak in an Ardmore hospital Monday morning, the result of a gun fray with Crocket Long in the Corner drug store in Madill about 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Shortly after death the body was returned to Madill to the Watts Funeral parlor and prepared for burial. the body lay in state in the chapel of the Watts Funeral home until Tuesday afternoon when it was removed to the Church of Christ for funeral services. The services were conducted at 4:30 o'clock with Rev. Thomas E. Milholland, Church of Christ evangelist, Denton, Tex., officiating. Burial was made in the Woodbury-Forest Cemetery. Watts Funeral home had charge of the funeral. The deceased is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E.B. Lynn, for a long number of years residents of Madill. They now live only a few miles east of Madill, Mr. Lynn was born near Dixie, Okla., in 1888. In 1889 the family moved to what is now Marshall County and have been residents here since that time. When a young man Mr. Lynn was married to Miss. Ollie Banks and to this union were born two sons, J.B. Lynn and E.B. Lynn. The former, a graduate of Madill high school, is now employed by the Oklahoma Gas and electric company, Ardmore, and the latter makes his home with his mother in Ardmore drug store. Surviving the deceased other than his divorced wife, two sons and his parents are three brothers, Will Lynn, Madill; Worley Lynn, Hobart, Okla., and Buster Lynn, Madill; and three sisters, as follows; Mrs. Durla Twomey, New York City, N.Y.; Mrs. Winnie Cassidy, Dallas, Tex., and Mrs. Welch Henderson, Madill. All were present for the funeral services with the exception of Mrs. Twomey. During Mr. Lynn's life he has been engaged as a stockman, farmer, and peace officer. The latter occupation he followed for years. He has served as deputy sheriff of Marshall county and as a prohibition officer. During the past few weeks Mr. Lynn had been running a thresher in the county for a Texas firm. Singers for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. John Landram, E.E. Ayers, Marvin Rowland, Brekenridge, Tex., Mrs. Clyde Lynn, R.C. Jackson, Cecil Trammell and Mrs. Otto E. Shaw. Pallbearers were; Jim Matchen, Leonard McKenzie, Joe Everett, Lionel Sullivan, A.L. Battel and Dave Jones. A large number of out-of-town relatives and friends were in attendance of the services. Relatives include Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lynn, Ada; Mrs. Elmore of Alma, Okla.; Mrs. Worley Lynn, Hobart.
