Files may be printed or copied for personal use only. ---------------------------------------------------- MADILL RECORD DECEMBER 11, 1958 (Mrs. Ella Lynn Buried Sunday) Mrs. Ella Lynn, 67, died suddenly last Friday at her home in Hobart. She had left here on the day before to spend the Christmas holidays with her daughter, Mrs. Merle Watkins and family there. Widowed in 1940 Mrs. Lynn had continued to call Hobart home but had spent much of her time here with her daughter, Mrs.Don E. Welch, and other relatives during the few past years. A native of Madill, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.L. Jones, and a sister of Mrs. Jim Ewing, Mrs. Guy McClure,Sr., Mrs. W.C. Butler,Sr. and Walter Jones, all of Madill. Funeral services were held in the First Methodist Church here at 4 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Walter Browers, District Superintendent of the Methodist Church. conducted the rites. He was assisted by the Rev. Ed Walker, Methodist pastor and the Rev. Theron Nease, Pastor of the Presbyterian Church. Fred Jones, Ardmore, a nephew of Mrs. Lynn sang a solo and pallbearers were also Mrs. Lynn'snephews. Mrs. Lynn was born near Madill November 5, 1891. Her husband, Worley Lynn, died March 22, 1940 and is buried here. Mrs. Lynn was a member of the First Christian Church in Hobart. Burial was in the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery under the direction of Watts Funeral Home. In addition to her two daughters, Mrs. Lynn is also survived by two sons, Gordon Lynn, Cape Girardeau, Mo. and Worley B. Lynn, Ponca City, and nine grandchildren. Other brothers and sisters surviving in addition to these who live in Madill are Curtis, and Fred Jones, Durant; Leonard and Potter Jones, Ardmore and Jake Jones, Muskogee.
