BILL JACK EVANS DIES ON TUESDAY SERVICES TODAY

Funeral services are scheduled this afternoon (Thursday) in Bowie, Texas
for Bill Jack Evans, 54, a Bowie native and husband of the former Carol
Lynn Welch, formerly of Madill. Mr. Evans died Tuesday in a Bowie hospital.
Services are scheduled at 2 P.M. today at the Bowie First United Methodist
Church where he was a member. Millard Fairchild, Church Pastor, will
officiate with burial in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of
Burgess-Fry Funeral Home. Born June 12, 1929, Mr. Evans was a life-long
resident of Bowie. He was the owner of an Insurance Agency and active
member of the Rotary Club and had been active in the Jaycees. He and the
Former Carol Lynn Welch were married Aug. 15, 1964, in Madill. In addition
to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jay Evans, of the home and his
mother, Mrs. Gorgie Evans of Bowie.
