Files may be printed or copied for personal use only. ---------------------------------------------------- MADILL RECORD SEPTEMBER 20, 1956 (Oakland Pioneer Dies At Age 75 Is Buried Monday) Last rites for Mrs. Alcia Louise Lynn were conducted at 2 P.M. Sept. 17 in the Oakland Church of Christ by C.V. Eubanks with Don Willingham assisting. She was 75. The interment was made in the Oakland Cemetery. Bearers were Elmore Lynn, Tom Johnson, Dick Johnson, John Bogle, Reggie Hughes, Floyd Lynn, Ira Loy, and John Pratt. Mrs. Lynn was born near Simpson, Aug. 17, 1881. She died Sept. 15 in her home in Oakland. She had been in ill health for many years. Her husband J.Y. Lynn, preceded her in death in Jan. 1945. Mrs. Lynn was a resident of Johnson and Marshall counties her entire life, having lived at Oakland for over 50 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors are one son, Dick Lynn of Oakland; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Feeney of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Lazell Cornelson and Mrs. Lena Powell, both of Oakland; Seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren; one brother D.H. Bogle, of Lone Grove. Watts Funeral Home was in charge of the Arrangements.
