Lynn) Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Oakland Church of Christ for John Young Lynn, early-day resident of Oakland. Mr. Lynn passed away January 27, following a paralytic stroke. Widely known as a farmer and Merchant, he had lived at Oakland the past 42 years. Recently he has been engaged in water well repairing. For many years he served on the Oakland School Board, was City Treasurer, Treasurer of the Oakland Church of Christ of which he had been a member for 40 years; and was active in all Civic affairs, Logan Buchanan and Silas Triplett, Church of Christ ministers were in charge of the funeral service. Interment was at Madill-Oakland Cemetery. Surviving are his wife; one son, Dick Lynn of Oakland; three daughters Mrs. Lazell Cornelison and Mrs. Lena Powell, of Oakland; Mrs. Mary Feeney, Oklahoma City; Six grandchildren; four brothers, Jim Lynn, Oakland; Grover Lynn, Clemscott; Charley Lynn, Durant; Otis Lynn, Tishomingo; and two sisters Mrs. Sallie Hughes, Oklahoma City and Mrs. Margaret Milholland, Dallas
