Files may be printed or copied for personal use only. ---------------------------------------------------- MADILL RECORD MAY 14, 1987 pg 1 & 4 Evelyn Wilson's Services are held Monday Morning Funeral services for Evelyn Wilson, Oakland native and long-time Madill resident, were conducted Monday morning in Madill. Mrs. Wilson was the wife of Otis Wilson. She died Saturday morning in a hospital in Denison, Tex. She had suffered ill health for the past 18 months. Mrs Wilson was born March 1, 1920 in Oakland. She spent her entire life as a resident of the Oakland and Madill communities. She attended elementary school in Oakland and graduated from Madill High School in 1938. After graduation from high school, she attended East Central Beauty College in Ada. She and Otis Wilson were married February 22, 1941. Mrs. Wilson attended Murray State College in Tishomingo graduating from there in 1974. She also attended Southeastern State University in Durant and graduated in 1976. She taught school at Murray State College and later was employed by the Texoma Peanut Company and the Department of Human Services in Madill. Mrs. Wilson was a charter member of the Madill Daughters Club, a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club and a member of the Madill Church of Christ. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wilson is survived by a daughter, Sue Stafford of Frisco, Tex.; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Cline Johnson of Burkburnett, Tex., four grand- children, Kari and Brooke Stafford of Frisco and Rob and Kasey Johnson of Burkburnett. She is also survived by two brothers, Bill Hawkins of Madill and Joe Green of Oakland and two sisters, Lois Wood of Oklahoma City and Louise Sudduth of Fairview. Services were conducted at Watts Memorial Chapel with Curtis Grubbs officiating. Music was arranged by Lucille Murray. Interment was in the Woodberry forest Cemetery. Casket escorts were Walter Bruce Bigger, Milford Clement, Toss Crow, E.D. Maxwell, Francis Nelson, Ducky Pratt, Rick Reedy and Bryant Watts. Honorary escorts were Wendyl Watts, George Putman, Cyril Petty, Bill Hansford, John Murray, Aubra Sparlin, Joe Phillips and Pedo Jones.
