Files may be printed or copied for personal use only. ---------------------------------------------------- MADILL RECORD OCTOBER 20,1977 (Services for Mrs. Lynn held Friday) Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon for Vada Lillie Lynn a longtime Oakland resident. Don Tarbet of Denison, Tex., officiated for the service from Watts Memorial Chapel with Wilbert Wiggs assisting. Singing was arranged by Mary Huebsch. Mrs. Lynn was born Feb. 10, 1890 in Arkansas. She was reared in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. She later moved to Duncan where she lived 15 years before moving to Oakland in 1931. She lived there the remainder of her life. Mrs. Lynn was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 20 years. She had been a member of the Church of Christ in Oakland for 31 years. Following five years of ill health she died Wednesday evening, Oct 12 in a local hospital at the age of 87. She is survived by two daughters, Thelma McGill of Oakland and Jimmie Nell Young of Norman. Four grandchilren and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother Ike Pollock and three sisters, Tresa Lewis, Risa Williford and Ruby Sherrell, all of Duncan. Pallbearers for services and burial in the Oakland Cemetery were Warren McGill, Donald Pollock, Henry Ross, Keith and Mark Williamson and Jimmie Williford.
