LYNN Funeral services for Charlie Alexander Lynn who died Friday in his home at Oakland, were held Sunday afternoon in Watts Memorial Chapel. Lynn, 91, at the time of his death, was born in Tennessee in August of 1871. He moved from Tennessee to Fox and then to west Texas. He had lived in Oakland since 1910. Lynn was a member of the Church of Christ. Don Bunnell was in charge of the services, Singing was arranged by Mrs. Lucille Murray. Survivors include three sons, Claude and Clyde Lynn, both of Oakland and Sam Lynn, Altus; one daughter, Mrs. Vera Bourland, Oklahoma City, one sister, Mrs. Minnie Wallace, Madill; Three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and five step grandchildren. Pallbearers were Aubrey Lynn, Dick Lynn, Dick Johnson, Hoand Pearce, J.J. Cornelson and Brody McGill. The burial was in the Madill-Oakland Cemetery. *** Jewell (Wallace) Williams related to Ruth Alexander in 1980 that in the early 1900's Charlie went to west Texas and purchased land for 50 cents per acre.
