ROGERS HELD ON SATURDAY) Charlie Andrew Rogers, who had been a Resident of Marshall County since 1898, died in the Madill hospital last Thursday night. He had been in ill health for the past 35 years and had been bedridden for the past several years. He suffered a light stroke and was taken to the hospital on Wednesday. Mr. Rogers was born in Stone County, Arkansas January 27, 1881. He had been a member of the Church of Christ for many years. His wife Mrs. Snodie Lynn Rogers died in 1942. Funeral services for Mr. Rogers were held in the Oakland, Church of Christ Saturday afternoon conducted by John W. Pigg assisted by J.W. Fike. Burial was in the Madill-Oakland Cemetery, with Watts Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements. Mr. Rogers is survived by the following children; Mrs. Gladys Lynn and Mrs. Neta Moore, Oakland; Mrs. Lorene McGill, Madill; Mrs. Geneva Standard, Enid; Leonard Rogers, Midland, Texas, and Turner Rogers, Houston, Texas. Three brothers W.A. Rogers, Oakland, Abe Rogers, Muskogee, and J.M. Rogers and two sisters, Mrs. Josie Kilsie who lives in Louisiana and Mrs Bertha Woods, Boonerville, Ark., also survive. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Dick Lynn Wre Alexander, Auner Huebsch, Fred Blalock, Joe Everett, Vernie Walker, Emmitt Pearce and Coleman Reynolds.
