Mom - Hazel McGill was born 9/30/1911 to Jim and Annie McGill. Jim was a fiesty little Irishman and Annie a very quiet lady of Irish and American Indian decent. Mom spent her early years growing up and enjoying life in Oakland. With this heritage, Mom was also a little fiesty growing up in a home with four brothers and one sister. She could more than hold her own, but her heart could easily be warmed with a hug and a smile. Mom was married June 8, 1928 to Aubrey Lynn also of Oakland. To this union two sons were born, Tommy and Phil. Mom was always the apple of my Daddy's eyes. He loved and worshiped his "Tuggie" till he departed this life. July 14, 1980. The bright gleam in Mom's eyes were her family. Her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook and all of her family loved to eat, so many good times were with her family, brothers, sister, nieces, nephews, in-laws etc. were centered around fellow- ship and food. Mom was a life time member of Oakland Church of Christ. Having been reared most of her life almost next door to the Church. Was there most of the time when the doors were open. In Mom's working years around the square in Madill many long time friends were made with a smile and a good laugh. Ill health in her later years took her memory but she could still manage a smile and loved the people who provided for her in the Broken Arrow Nursing home for some 7 plus years. Mom departed this life in Broken Arrow, OK, Sept. 4, 1996. Leaving behind her children. Tommy and Carolle Lynn - Conroe, TX. and Phil and Jackie Lynn - Broken Arrow. OK. Two brothers Tom McGill - Lubbock, TX. and Woodrow McGill of Oakland, Ok. Six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews, who she loved dearly, like they loved her. Preceded in death by Papa and Momma -Jim and Annie, Husband Aubrey Lynn, brothers, Brody and Rab McGill. One sister Delia Higginbotham. So today let's not grieve for mom. We love her dearly and will miss her, but she is in a better place. Mom we have brought you home as promised, to be with Dad. Bye dear, and have a good journey.
