Files may be printed or copied for personal use only. ---------------------------------------------------- MADILL RECORD JULY 17, 1980 page 5-A Aubrey Lynn, 75, Dies; Services held Tuesday Aubrey Layton Lynn, a 75-year-old Marshall County, I.T. native died Monday morning following an extended period of ill health. Mr. Lynn was a native of Weaverton. He had lived most of his life in Oakland. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon from Watts Memorial Chapel. Don Tarbet of Denison officiated for services. Singing was arranged by Tiny Lynn. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery. Born May 29, 1905, Mr. Lynn moved to Oakland as a young boy. He was reared there and married the former Hazel McGill June 8, 1928, in Mannsville. Mr. Lynn was employed ad a roughneck in the oil fields during his younger years. He took a job in 1935 with the Oklahoma State Highway Department, working up to the position of highway inspector. He retired from that position in 1970 after 35 years service. Mr. Lynn was a member of the Oakland Church of Christ. He had been in ill health above five years prior to his death. In addition to his wife of the family home in Oakland, he is survived by two sons, Tommy of Houston and Phil Lynn of Broken Arrow; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Casket escorts for services and interment were Stanley Bartee, Tige Cornelison, Roy Garrison, Leamon Gleaves, Curtis Hallmark, E.B. Nutt, Holland Pearce and W.F. Rushing.
