McADOO, LONGTIME COUNTY RESIDENT DIES Ben Everett McAdoo, 74, died Sunday afternoon in a Tishomingo hospital where he had been critically ill several weeks. Funeral services for Mr. McAdoo, a Kingston resident since 1913, were conducted Tuesday morning from Kingston Church of Christ with Grady Cooper, the church minister officiating. Burial was in the Kingston cemetery under direction of Watts Funeral Home. Mr. McAdoo was born in Parris, Ark., May 30, 1890. He came to Oakland community as a young boy, spending the rest of his life in Marshall county. He and the former Laura Smith were married December 25, 1912, and moved to Kingston the following year. He was a carpenter by trade and had been a member of the Church of Christ a year. Mr. McAdoo became seriously ill about one year ago. Other than his wife, he is survived by two sons, Roy of Kingston and Paul McAdoo of Bell, Calif; two daughters, Pauline Davis of Kingston and Imogene Murr of Houston, Tex.; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Also, a brother, Elgie McAdoo, of Kingston, and five sisters, Etna Higgins, Jessie Dice and Sulor McAdoo, all of Oakland and Lizzie and Virgie Wallace, both of Willis.
