Files may be printed or copied for personal use only. ---------------------------------------------------- MADILL RECORD THURSDAY DECEMBER 27, 1983 Page 13 GLADYS LYNN'S FUNERAL HELD MONDAY AFTERNOON Funeral Services were conducted Monday afternoon for Mrs. Gladys Vera Rogers Lynn, 77, widow of T.C. Lynn and a lifelong resident of Marshall County. Mrs. Lynn died Friday afternoon in a local hospital. She had been in ill health since June. Vance Crowe of Madill Church of Christ officiated for services at Watts Memorial Chapel. He was assisted by Wilbert Wiggs. Music was arranged by Lucille Murray. Mrs. Lynn was born Aug. 25, 1906, in Weaverton, I.T., near Madill. The daughter of the late Charlie Andrew and Snodie Lee Rogers. She lived her entire life in Marshall County, residing in the Weaverton and Antioch, communities before moving to Oakland. She has been a member of the Oakland Church of Christ since she was a young girl and for many years was Community correspondent for Oakland, with the Madill Record. She and Thomas Claude Lynn were married Nov. 7, 1941, in Sherman, Texas. Mr. Lynn died Oct. 27, 1978. A son Norman Dean Spivey, also preceded her in death in 1978. Her survivors include two daughters, Wetona Stanley and Mary Huebsch, both of Madill, and a step-daughter, Sammie Wilson, of Ardmore. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, a brother, Leonard Rogers, of Midlothian, Texas and two sisters, Lorene McGill of Madill and Geneva Standard of Enid. Casket escort for services and burial in the Oakland Cemetery, were Curtis and Kirk Hallmark, Holland Pearce, Mike Walker, Tige Cornelison, Woodrow McGill, Earl Kelley, David Dunn, Uben Williford and Roy Garrison.
