Files may be printed or copied for personal use only. ---------------------------------------------------- SURNAMES: Dice, Graves, Green, McAdoo Eligah McAdoo's funeral Services Held on Tuesday Funeral services for Eligah McAdoo, 91, of Madill were held Tuesday in Watts Memorial Chapel with Harold Kimrey officiating. Music was arranged by Jay Payne. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery. McAdoo was born Aug. 4. 1894, in Arkansas and moved with his parents, the late George and Lucinda McAdoo, to Oakland in 1909. He lived most of his life in Marshall County and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was and oilfield worker and pumper most of his life. He married Gerushin May Green Nov. 1, 1916, in Oakland. She prededed him in death on Jan. 9, 1982. Following six years of failing health, he died Sunday in a Denison hospital. He is survived by two sons, E. G. McAdoo, Jr., of Cartwright, Okla., and H. L. McAdoo of Chandler, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Nephews serving as casket escorts were Narvan, J. E. and Frank Dice, Lonnie Graves and G. W. and Clifford McAdoo.
