DIES ON FRIDAY Thomas Claude Lynn died Friday evening following an extended period of ill health. He was 82 years old. Funeral services for Mr. Lynn were conducted Monday afternoon from Watts Memorial Chapel. Vance Crowe, Madill Church of Christ, Minister, with the Oakland Church of Christ where Mr. Lynn was a member. Music for the services was arranged by Lucille Murray, burial was in the Oakland Cemetery. An Oakland resident since 1911, Mr. Lynn was a native of Indian Territory. He was born March 29, 1896, at Fox but had moved with his family the Pecos, Texas area as a young boy. Mr. Lynn attended school in Oakland and Madill. Following his discharge from the Army after World War I, He attended an Oklahoma City business College. Mr. Lynn was active in Ranching, Oil and the Insurance business most of his adult life. He and Gladys Spivey were married Nov. 7, 1941, at Sherman, Tex. She survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Sammie Wilson, of Ardmore; two Step-daughters, Weetona Stanley and Mary Huebsch, both of the Madill area. Norman Spivey, a step-son, died only recently. Other survivors include a grandson, Charles N. Wilson, of Ardmore; Eight Step-grandchildren; Nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Sam E. Lynn, of Altus, and a sister, Vera Bourland, of Oklahoma City. Grandsons of Mr. Lynn were casket escorts for services and interment. They included Mike Huebsch, Dustin and Tawana Spivey, Fred, Stan and Steve Stanley and Charles Wilson. Honorary escorts were Vernon Ard, Norbell Beard, J.J. Cornelison, Curtis Hallmark, Lloyd Henson, Earl Kelly, Maurice Lampe, Roy Lockhart, Woodrow McGill, S.P. Parrish, Holland Pearce and Mike Walker.
