Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Boise City with Scott Adams officiating. Military graveside services will be in Boise City Cemetery by Cimarron Mortuary. Mr. Tooley was born in Moses, N.M., on Sept. 22, 1928, the oldest son of Ora and Nell Marie Nall Tooley Messersmith. At the age of 17, he enlisted in the Army. Survivors include his wife, Maria; a daughter, Nell Maria Lasley of Austin; a sister, Patti Jo (Patricia) Shugart of Mentmore, N.M.; three brothers, Wayne Tooley and Jere Messersmith, both of Boise City, and Russell Tooley of Madill, Okla.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch in care of the mortuary. Amarillo Globe-News, July 22, 2002
