Mrs. Soliday died Dec. 25 in a Denison, Texas, hospital. Mrs. Soliday was born Jan. 28, 1920, in Aylesworth where she was reared. She graduated from Aylesworth High Shcool in 1938. She and Lenuel Leo Newman married July 26, 1939, in Aylesworth and he died Aug. 17, 1952. She and Frank D. Soliday married June 6, 1965, and he died Nov. 2, 1980. She lived most of her life in Marshall County and was a member of the Madill First Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Wayne Newman, Phyllis wallace and Kay Cassell of Madill, Gary Newman of Kingston, LoEva Eddington of Overland Park, Kan., and Lisa Casteel of Phoenix, Ariz.; brothers Alvin Long and Burtle Ducan of Cumberland; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Albert and J.C. Long; sisters, Winnie Amos and Minnie Lee Banderpool; grandson, Jeffrey Wayne Newman; granddaughter, Angie Eddington, and parents, John and Dora Long. Services were in Watts Memorial Chapel with Homer Walkup officiating. Music was arranged by Peggy LaMascus with Judy Smith as organist. Burial was in the Cumberland Cemetery under the direction of Watts Funeral Home. Casket bearers were Danny Duncan, Paul Long, Keith Long, Johnnie Long, Ed Beasley and Leon Dice. Honorary escorts were W.Y. Spence, Lyle Baker, Joe Potter, John Carroll, Charles Long and S.P. Parrish. Submitted by: Kourtney French Garcia
