She died Sunday in the Madill hospital at 89 years of age. She was born Nov. 21, 1898 near Tishomingo and moved with her family to Vine Grove, Tex., in 1913. In 1916 she married Roy Wallace. He preceded her in death April 29, 1919. On Aug. 28, 1927 she married Roddie Simmons. He preceded her in death Jan. 20, 1980. Mrs. Simmons lived in Midwest City for a number of years and worked in the grocery business. She had made her home in Madill since 1965. Survivors include a brother, Dalton Attebery of Edmond and Ella Robertson of Madill, and several nephews and nieces. Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her daughter Mauriel Wallace in 1932. Officiating for services was Verlyn Snell, assisted by John Dennis. Burial was in the Kingston cemetery. Eastern Star service was also at the church. Music was arranged by Bill Presley with JoAnn Robertson as organist. Casket escorts were Cecil Robertson, Joe, Glen, Lewis and John Atteberry and Charles Litterell. Honorary bearers were Arbra Sparlin, Frank Bumpass, Donald and Clinton Robertson, Quentin Dishmon, J.D. Sandefur and Jay Payne.
