(son) Whiting, Marshall county native who died Monday in a Sherman hospital were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon in Mullican-Little Funeral Home, located between Bells and Savoy, Tex. He was 62. Mr. Whiting was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. D.D. Whiting, and the stepson of Mrs. Zelma Whiting of Madill. He was born March 11, 1907 and died November 10, 1969. He was born in Madill, and graduated from Madill High School. His wife, Claudine, preceded him in death about 18 months ago. At the time of his death he was living in Savoy. He had just moved from Bells a few weeks before entering the hospital several weeks ago. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Taylor, and two grandsons, Norfolk, Va., A brother, D.D. (Toots) Whiting, Bells, and a sister, Noweta Underwood, Dallas. Pallbearers wereJ.B. Dickens, J.D. Moore, Don Gilliam, Voll Dawson, Jr., James Rudd, and Wallace Car.
