All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Santa Rosa Press Democrat Published on November 16, 1998 JAMES BROONER James Levi Brooner, a lifelong trucker, died Nov. 9, a few weeks after suffering a fall while loading a truck. Brooner was 71 and had been active up until his fall, his family said. Born in Pryor, Okla., Brooner's family moved to Sebastopol when he was 9. His father worked as a foreman on a ranch and the family grew up on hard work and sweat, said his sister, Jewel England of Santa Rosa. Brooner eventually moved to Santa Rosa, where he operated a one-man trucking business and did odd jobs. "He was a real hard worker, he loved his family and he would do anything to help another person," England said. Married three times, Brooner had children with his first and second wives. He married his third wife, Anna Brooner of Santa Rosa, in 1979. In addition to his wife and sister, Brooner is survived by a son, James Leland Brooner of Santa Rosa; a daughter, Kathleen Marie Brooner of Santa Rosa; another sister, Irene Lippert of Santa Rosa; a brother, Benjamin Brooner of Arizona; four stepchildren; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service has been held.
