All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Chilcutt, Margie I. "Mickey" Margie I. "Mickey" Chilcutt died Dec. 22, 2006, after a brief battle with cancer. Mickey was born March 12, 1920, in Pensacola, Okla., to David and Ethel West. She came to Ventura from Kansas City, Mo., in 1956 with her husband, Leon, and their five sons, after watching the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl game on television on a snowy, freezing day in Kansas City while most of the spectators in California were wearing shorts and short-sleeved shirts. Pop said, "Mickey, we're moving to California." Mickey was a loving wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma and friend. She also was Dad's partner in what we called "The Chilcutt Redevelopment Agency," as they bought, fixed up and sold 32 different properties here in California. Mickey loved music, played the guitar and organ, enjoyed singing and dancing and could sew anything. She also enjoyed putting together puzzles and solving crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon, and son Walter, both in 1993. She is survived by her sons Jim (wife Joyce) and Bill (partner Nicole) of Ventura, Rich (wife Tami) of Porterville, Calif., and Ken (wife Lori) of Kent, Wash.; brother, Gene, and sister, Mary, both of Missouri; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren. We know you are in heaven, so enjoy your family reunion and say, "Hi" to all for us. We love you and will miss you dearly. At her request, there will be no services. Donations may be made in her memory to the Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association, 1996 Eastman Ave., Ventura, CA 93003. Published in the Ventura County Star on 1/19/2007. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Mayes County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/mayes/mayes.html
