'Red' Mallory Funeral services for Charles O. "Red" Mallory, 66, of Pryor, will be held at 1 P.M. Monday in the Key funeral home Chapel in Pryor. Reverends Scott Baker and Don Fortner will officiate. Burial will follow in the Benge Cemetery at Adair under the direction of Key Funeral Home of Pryor. Mr. Mallory was born June 18, 1928 to Clarence H. and Agnes Catherin (Ohrt) Mallory in Comanche, Iowa. he died February 16th in Pryor. He grew up and attended school in Comanche and graduated from Clinton High School in Clinton, Iowa. He married Claire Jeanette Bice on December 4, 1948 in Clinton. They lived in Low Moor, Iowa where he was an employee of the Purina Feed Store until 1955 when they moved to Pyror. In Pryor, he worked as a cement mason and for Williams Construction Company until his retirement in 1990. Mr. Mallory was well known across Oklahoma and in Iowa for his dedicated service to Ducks Unlimited and the Wetlands. He was a master craftsman of duck decoys and turkey calls. He received recognition for his service including the re-naming of the Pryor organization to the C.O. "Red" Mallory Pryor Chapter of Ducks Unlimited. He was also a member of Ducks Unlimited in comanche and supported their work through the sale of donated hand-crafted decoys and turkey calls. He served as deacon of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Pryor and was a member of the Local 690 Cement Masons of Tulsa. Survivors include his wife Claire, of the home; a brother and sister- in- law, William R and Wanda Mallory of Adair; a brother - in - law, Roland Bice and wife Jean of Zephryhills, Florida; a sister- in - law, Nancy Ademite and husband Frank of Golden Valley, Minnesota; and several nieces, nephews; great-nieces and nephews.
