Garrison of San Antonio Heights took the hand of his Lord on January 11, 2007. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty Jo Garrison; children, Cindy Garrison of Phoenix, Arizona, Estal (Bud) Garrison of San Antonio Heights and Lonnie (Duke) Garrison of Colton; 11 grandchildren and 1 1/2 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters, Audrey (Dale) DeLozier of Upland and Norma Thompson of Alta Loma. Cecil was predeceased by his parents, Seth Garrison and Lona Garrison Schooler; stepfather, Clarence L. Schooler; brother, Estal Garrison; and sister, Lucille Butler Lucas. He was born on May 3, 1927, in Choteau, Oklahoma, the fifth child of Seth and Lona Garrison. His family mov ed to Southern California in 1928. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and served in Japan. He married Elsie Hiner in 1948, the mother of his children. He owned and operated service stations in Ontario and Montclair. Later he worked in roofing sales. Cecil was an active member of the San Antonio Heights-Mt. Baldy Citizen Patrol, the Upland Travelers, the San Antonio Heights Association, and the fourth member to join the San Gabriel Valley Harley Owners Group, formed in 1990. He was a ctive in General Dynamics Retirees' organizations and was a member of Life Bible Fellowship Church. His favorite pastimes were playing games, camping, boating, water skiing, shooting, and riding his motorcycles. He loved life, played hard and enjoyed the fellowship of family and friends. Visitation will be held today, January 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Draper Mortuary, 811 N. Mountain Avenue, Ontario. A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, at Life Bible Fellowship Church, 2426 N. Euclid Avenue, Upland. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made to Life Bible Fellowship Church (909-981-4848). A loving brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Cecil will always be remembered, loved and greatly missed.
