ROBERTS ROBERTS, Jesse H. Medford Mail Tribune, OR 05-16-2001 Jesse H. Roberts, 81, of Rogue River, died Friday (May 11, 2001) at his grandson's home in Grants Pass. No public service is planned. He was born March 13, 1920, in Salina, Okla. On April 12, 1937, in Mayfield, Okla., he married Geraldene G. Gerdis, who survives. Mr. Roberts was a power house engineer with Pacific Gas and Electric Co. for 30 years. He moved to Rogue River from Arcata, Calif., in 1978. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific. After the service, he lived in Humboldt County, Calif. Mr. Roberts was a member of the National and California Horsemen's Association and the McKinleyville Roping Association. He enjoyed horses, riding and roping, deer hunting and spending time with his family. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Mary Sutter, Prineville, JoAnne Bridges, Santa Rosa, Calif., and Barbara Cantrell, Rogue River; three sisters, Bonnie Barfield, Naomie Smith and Eunice Bongaurd, all in the Oklahoma City area; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
