All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Turlock Memorial Park--Turlock CA Oregon Register Guard Oregon Register Guard Wednesday, October 4, 2006 Blanche Martin-Johnson SPRINGFIELD - A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at 22192 Fisk Road in Noti for Blanche Shover Martin-Johnson of Springfield. She died Sept. 30 of age-related causes at age 85. Martin-Johnson was born Jan. 22, 1921, in Chouteau, Okla., to Claude and Anez Hillhouse Shover. She married Eddie "Ira" Martin on April 2, 1938, in Vinita, Okla. He died Oct. 14, 1951. She married Leon Johnson on Nov. 15, 1953, in Reno, Nev., and they later divorced. She had worked for poultry plants and potato farmers, and retired from Tri-Valley Cannery in 1986. Survivors include two sons, Delbert Martin of Noti and J.D. Martin of Lowell; two daughters, Linda Essary of Springfield and Juanita Amos of Delhi, Calif.; a sister, Margarite Brown of Spring Valley, Calif.; a brother, J. Russell Shover of Concord, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Eula Cockrum, died June 22, 1999, and a grandson, Tony Martin, also died previously. Burial will be at Turlock Memorial Park in Turlock, Calif.
