All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Barbara Stewart Barbara Stewart was born January 5, 1919, in Choteau, Oklahoma, and passed away November 10, 2006, in Fortuna. She is survived by her sons, Jerry and Curtis Broussard; grandchildren, Marc, Troy, Jason and David Broussard and Jennifer Hayes; great grandchildren, Garyn, David, Jesse, Sara, Weston, Brandon, Chaz, Amaylia, Thales, Julia, Emma, Elizabeth and Lauren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Stewart; sisters, Peggy Covallo and Mary Nolt; and granddaughter, Traci Broussard. Barbara was raised Mennonite, but left home during the Great Depression to find work. She married Luke Broussard (deceased in 1959) and spent the war years in Louisiana. After the war, the family moved to California and she resided mostly on the west coast. Barbara married Bob Stewart in 1970 and eventually settled in Fortuna. Barbara was widely known as a friendly, generous person with a ready smile. She was always willing to contribute to the less fortunate and to numerous ministries. She will be long remembered by her family and her many friends. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, November 17th, 2006, at Goble's Fortuna Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, friends are requested to donate to St. Luke's Skilled Nursing Facility at 2321 Newburg in Fortuna or to their favorite charities.
