Rev. Bill Grass will officiate with services under the direction of Wilson-Cunningham Funera Home of Locust Grove. Mrs. Stipes was born Sept. 21, 1924, in Spavinaw to Jesse Ernest and Rosa Dela (Keith) Heengar. She died Sautrday , Feb. 6, 1993, in Pryor. On Dec. 19, 1941, she married Dewey Stipes in Eucha. The family has lived in the Locust Grove area for 51 years. She was a devout Christian throughtout her life. Dhe enjoyed gardening, reading and taking care of her home. Surviviors include her husband, Dewey Stipes of the home; one son and daughter - in - law, Eugene and Jeanette Stipes of Locust Grove; four daughters, Dixie Helton of the home, Teresa Hicks and husband, Harold, of Tulsa, Nancy Pait and her husband Mike, of Salina, Lynda Burchett and husband, Leroy, of Rose; one newphew, Bill Stipes of Locust Grove; three sisterst, Ann Evans of Locust Grove, Viva McDaniels of Antlers, Dorothy Haddock of Missouri; one brother, Jr. Henegar of Washington; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jay Dee Stipes and Louis Wayne Stipes. Friends may call at the Wilson-Cunningham Funeral Home in Locust Grove from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday.
