Boudreau, a senior in Purcell highschool this year, was a popular student and athlete and only a broken elbow received early in the 1940 football season kept him from ranking high as a conference ball carrier. Boudreau passed his physical examination Saturday at Dallas and was immediately ordered to report for basic training at San Diego. He had already successfully passed a preliminary examination at Oklahoma City, before going to Dallas. He mailed the "oath of allegiance" to his parents that was given to him after he passed the final examination. Newman & Bonneau opened a branch house at Lexington this week and will carry a full line of new and second-hand furniture, as they do here. These gentlemen have built up a good business here and a visit to their store shows that they carry a surprisingly large line of up-to-date furniture.
